| Etching,
End Of A Long Day Wonderful fine quality etching by Birket Foster titled, "The
moon with cloudless ray", 1859. The farm workers after a long day collecting the harvest are now making their way home. It is now dark and the moon is out. The crop still stands waiting for their return on the `morrow. Trees line the field while in the background can be seen the impression of a set of hills. The moon illuminates the clouds and in its fullness gives out much light. The paper is 6 3/4" x 9" with the etching being 4" x 2 3/4" and in Good condition with some foxing / browning. Source:
