Greece

Interesting, color German map showing Greece, circa. 1890.

This wonderful German map of Greece shows the mainland of that particular country as well as some of the islands to the east of the country. Various towns and cities are named such as Athen, Corinith, Delphi, Sparta and Argos. Other man-made features include canals, railway lines and telegraph lines. Natural features are also included and consist of rivers, lakes, the Aegean Sea and mountain ranges. Various sea routes around the mainland and between the islands are included as well as a scale in kilometers and the longitude and latitude. Four cutaway boxes include the regions around Athens, Corinith, Kythia and the island of Thera. The map is 17 1/4" x 22".

Italy

Interesting, color German map showing Italy, circa. 1890.

This wonderful map shows the mainland of Italy along with the islands of Sardinia, Sicily and Corsica. The borders with Switzerland and France are clearly shown as well as the Balkans to the east of Italy. The major towns and cities such as Naples, Rome, Venice and Florence are all shown as well as other man-made features such as railway lines, telegraph lines and sea lanes around the coast. Natural features include rivers, lakes, mountains and the Mediterranean. A scale in kilometers is also given as is the longitude and latitude. Two cutaway boxes show the regions around the bay of Naples and the bay of Venice. The map is 22" x 17 1/4".

Holland & Belgium

Interesting, color German map showing the Netherlands and Belgium, circa. 1890.

This wonderful German made map shows the countries of Holland and Belgium as they were at the end of the 19th century. All of the man-made features of the region are shown and include towns, cities, telegraph lines, railways, roads and the borders with Luxembourg, Germany and France. Natural features are also included and portray rivers, lakes, areas of high ground and the North Sea. In the Netherlands the system of defensive sea dykes can also be seen. A cutaway box shows the region around Amsterdam whilst a second box shows the over seas colonies of Holland and Belgium. A scale is included in kilometers and the longitude and latitude are also included. The map is 22" x 17 1/4".

Central Germany

Wonderful, large, fine quality color map showing Central Germany, circa. 1898.

The kingdom of Prussia colored red whilst the other electoral states are colored in various colors to ease identification. The border with Bohemia is also clearly shown. Within each state the major towns and cities are marked as well as railway lines, telegraph lines and other man-made features. Natural features are also shown and include rivers, lakes, areas of high ground and the North Sea. Each State is individually named. A scale is given in kilometers and British miles and the longitude and latitude are also marked. The map is 14" x 18".
